SALISBURY HANDED TYKES CLASH

11 August 2015

Graham Salisbury will be the referee when Scunthorpe United take on Barnsley in the first round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night at Glanford Park.

Salisbury, 52, last took charge of a match involving the Iron when they drew 1-1 with Worcester in the first round of the FA Cup last December. Salisbury also was the man with the whistle when United lost 4-1 away at Chesterfield last September.

The Lancashire official showed 137 yellow and eight red cards last season and recently dismissed two players in his first game of this campaign, when Stevenage met Notts County in a highly charged encounter.

Salisbury took charge of games in the Championship, League One and League Two last season, so he'll bring a great deal of experience to the table when taking charge of this game in particular.

He'll be assisted by linesmen Ken Haycock and Peter Gooch and Fourth Official Wayne Grunnill.
