KETTLE HANDED CREWE CLASH

14 August 2015

Trevor Kettle will be the man with the whistle when Scunthorpe United take on Crewe Alexandra at Glanford Park this Saturday.

Kettle, 48, refereed the Iron on just one occassion last season, in our dramatic 1-1 draw with Port Vale back in April.

The man from Rutland showed 63 yellows and just one red card in the last campaign, with that sole dismissal coming in a 0-0 draw between AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe.

Kettle took charge of his first game of this season on Tuesday night, when Port Vale defeated Burnley in the first round of the Capital One Cup. A game which had six yellow and no red cards.

He will be supported by linesmen Ricky Wooton and Neil Hair, with fourth official Mark Jones.
