Scunthorpe United have appointed Steve Taylor as their new chief scout.
Taylor enjoyed a 20-year spell coaching at Derby County after his playing days with the Rams were cut short by injury.After departing Pride Park, he joined Iron boss Mark Robins' backroom staff in his spells as manager at Rotherham United, Barnsley, Coventry City and Huddersfield Town.
After leaving the John Smiths Stadium, Taylor returned to Derby last season where he worked as U21's coach under Steve McClaren.
