The Iron make the trip to Colchester United this weekend. Here are ticket and travel details ahead of the clash at the Weston Homes Community Stadium...

By Car
The journey should roughly take three-and-a-half hours, with the quickest route being to follow the A15 for 21.7 miles and then at the roundabout take the third exit onto the A46. Then stay on the A46 until you reach the A1 ramp, which will be the second exit towards Grantham/Balderton. Then continue to follow the A1 for 28.7 miles, then continue onto A1(M) (follow signs for London) and then onto the A14 which you then follow for 13.2 miles. After roughly 13 miles, keep right to continue on the M11 and follow signs for London for approximately 28 miles. Then at junction 8 use the left lane to take the A120 exit to Colchester, at the roundabout then take the first exit onto Thremhall Avenue/A120. Then continue onto the A120 for approximately 25 miles, and use the left lane to merge onto the A12 via the ramp to Colchester/Harwich. Subsequently then merge onto the A12 for 5.7 miles and exit at junction 28. The stadium is then 0.7 miles distance away. There are 700 car parking spaces at the stadium which each cost £6. It's also essential that you pre-book your space by calling the ticket office on 0845 437 9089. In the event of the car park being full, the club does also have an overspill car park which costs £8.

By Train

It takes around 4 hours and 10 minutes from Scunthorpe, for example if you were to take the 9:08 service (with three changes at Doncaster, London Kings Cross, the tube from Kings Cross to London Liverpool Street and then the train to Colchester Station) you'd arrive at 13:15. The station is two miles away from the ground. Located near to the station at Bruff Close is a free shuttle bus service that will take you to the ground. At the end of the station approach turn left and take the second exit at the roundabout, the buses park behind the "Big Yellow" storage facility that you can see from the station. For 3pm kick-offs the bus runs from 1pm, with the last bus returning at 6pm. The journey time is 10 minutes.

Coach Travel
The price is £22 members and £23 non-members. The coaches leave from the following destinations: Ashby Broadway (8.30am), Museum (8.40am), Baths Hall (8.45am) and Glanford Park (9.00am).

The Weston Homes Community Stadium...
Colchester play at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, a new build which United moved into in 2008. It has a capacity of 10,105, all of which is seated. Away fans are normally housed in the northern part of the JobServe Stand, which is situated on one side of the stadium. Around 1,000 supporters can be accommodated in this area. For clubs with a larger travelling support than the Roman Cars Stand (the North End), where up to 2,000 supporters can be seated, is allocated instead.
