YOUTHS BEATEN BY HARTLEPOOL

4 April 2015

United's U18's were beaten 4-2 by their Hartlepool counterparts on Friday.

On 39 minutes Jack Dyche unleashed a 30 yarder to give the Iron the lead but we were pegged back by the hosts as they levelled from a short corner just after half time.

Pool took the lead on the hour when central defender Charlie Cleminshaw slipped on the edge of the box allowing the home team to slot home.

The Iron levelled through Jack Mawson on 75 minutes when he got on the end of a Levi Sutton free kick to nod home.

The home team's third goal had a suspicion of offside when their striker came from goalside of Cleminshaw on the edge of United's box to fire home as the iron disputed the goal.

The game was sealed on 89 minutes as United full back Matt Stockill gave the ball away on the halfway line and wasn't able to get back in time to prevent the home team from scoring.
