Andy Haines will be the referee for Saturday's home clash against Gillingham.
Haines has refereed 27 games this season, showing 71 yellow cards and three reds. The referee from Tyne and Wear started as a secretary for a seven-a-side team who struggled to find referees, this encouraged him to pursue it as a career. After progressing through the amateur divisions he finally became a Football League referee in 2005.
Last season Haines mainly stuck to League One and Championship matches. He officiated 33 games, issuing 91 yellow cards and 11 red.
He refereed our home Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Notts County earlier this season.
