Study Parks were proud to present the Harry Travers Memorial Award for student of the year before Saturday's game against Gillingham. Not everybody may be aware but local lad Harry was a huge supporter of Scunthorpe United who tragically lost his life in a motor accident in December 2011.
The community of Ealand where he lived are proud sponsors of our annual award in memory of Harry.
This year, the award has been won by a student who has been attending Study Parks for six months as a personalised learning student, BETHANY PEACH.
Bethany has worked very hard at Study Parks where she has been transformed from a reluctant learner to a keen and focused student.
Presenting the award to Bethany at the weekend were staff from Study Parks.
They were joined by Harry's parents, Michelle and David Travers, Linda O'Connor, a resident of Ealand, who has kindly donated the award herself and Bethany's supporters.
A huge thanks to Linda for organising the award and to Bethany for working so hard to achieve her goals. Everyone wishes her the very best in the future. Well done Bethany!
