The Iron have signed Peterborough United defender Shaun Brisley on a one-month loan deal.

The 23-year-old began his career at hometown club Macclesfield Town, where he came through the youth system and made his debut in March 2008 against Notts County.

He made 141 appearances for Macclesfield in five years at the club before he signed for Peterborough in February 2012, initially on a loan deal before signing permanently at the end of that season.

Brisley has made five appearances for the Posh so far this season, the last of those coming in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy against Leyton Orient on 2 September.

The loan spell expires after the Iron's home clash with Notts County on October 25.
