HAYWOOD NAMED AS COVENTRY REFEREE

16 September 2014

Mark Haywood will be the official for this Tuesday’s clash with Coventry City at Glanford Park.

Born in West Yorkshire, Haywood is an experienced referee, having been at Football League level since the 2006/2007 season.

He has refereed the Iron on a number of occasions during this time frame, the last of these was the 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers on 25th March and his first game at Glanford Park was way back in October 2006, a goalless draw against Bury in the Football League Trophy.

The last game he refereed was Notts County’s 2-0 victory over Mansfield Town in that same competition on September 2.   

He has handed out 17 yellow cards and one red card over seven games in all competitions so far this season and last season, he handed out 74 yellows and five reds in 35 games.

He will be assisted by Marc Edwards and Mark Jones, whilst Paul Cook will act as Fourth Official.
