A recent sponsored walk has raised some much needed funds for the Scunthorpe United Powerchair Football Team.
SUFC Trust chief executive Lee Turnbull said: "Phil Toplass and the lads from The Chancel pub have been raising money for the Team for a number of years now and this year there was also a donation from Tata Steel towards the final amount of £1250."The group train every Friday morning at Bottesford Sports Hall and have played a few invitational matches over recent times.
"The team is made up of residents from Lincolnshire House and have benefited immensely from the sessions which has included some free expert coaching from Anthony Nweke from the Wheelchair Football Association.
"Scunthorpe United Community Trust staff have a great relationship with participants and look forward to continuing these sessions."
