MILLER HANDED COUNTY CLASH

24 October 2014

Nigel Miller is the match referee for the Iron’s League One clash with Notts County on Saturday at Glanford Park.

This will be Miller’s tenth game in charge this season, after officiating games ranging from the Championship, down to League Two. So far this season he has given out 21 yellow cards and no red cards.

Miller was involved with two of the Iron’s games last season, when he took charge of the 2-0 victory over Mansfield Town at Field Mill, whilst he also refereed at Glanford Park as the Iron drew 2-2 with York. Across those two games involving the Iron, Miller didn’t show one card at all to any team.

Overall last season, Miller dished out 38 yellow cards and 3 red cards across 21 games last season, which included two red cards during the fixture between Port Vale and Crawley where Chris Robertson and Dannie Bulman were sent off in the second half.

In the 2011/12 season, Miller sent off Bobby Grant in a 1-1 draw with Colchester at Glanford Park. Grant had put the Iron ahead before being dismissed minutes before half time. Gillespie equalised for Colchester midway through the second half.

Miller will be assisted by Neil Hair and Andy Scregg, whilst Thomas Bramall is the Fourth Official for the game.
