HOPING TO EXTEND BRISLEY'S LOAN

24 October 2014

Iron manager Mark Robins will be hoping to extend the loan spell of centre-back Shaun Brisley.

The defender has been on-loan at the Iron for a month now from Peterborough, with the current deal coming to an end following the Notts County game.

However, Robins is looking to keep hold of Brisley and will also hope to have him available for the FA Cup.

Robins said: “We will be looking to extend the loan of Shaun Brisley at some point.

“All things being equal, we will do that and he will be available for the FA Cup

“He will then give a little more time towards some of the players we have got coming back to some sort of fitness.

“Eddie Nolan is probably closest to fitness at this moment in time.

“We are going to keep working, there is only so many loans you can bring in to a matchday squad.”
