The Iron's Development Centres are back at six fantastic venues.
After a successful first month, which has seen five players given academy trials, we will continue to run these courses until the October half-term.They will then continue from after then until Christmas - with limited spaces available.
Mondays:
The Shed Training Ground 4-5pm ages 5-8 years then 5-6pm ages 9-11 years (3G surface no metal studs)
Baygarth School MUGA 5-6pm ages 5-11 years (no metal studs)
Tuesdays:
Vale of Ancholme School Sports hall 5-6pm ages 5-11 (indoor trainers only) limited 30 places only.
Wednesdays:
Winterton Community Academy Sports hall 5-6pm ages 5-11 (indoor trainers only) limited 30 places only.
Thursdays:
Melior Community College Astroturf 5-6pm ages 5-11 (no metal studs)
Fridays:
Goole High School Sports hall 5-6pm ages 5-11 (indoor trainers only) limited 30 places only.
All sessions cost £2 per session or you can pay £10 for six weeks.
Places are on a first come first serve basis if all places are taken players will be put onto a reserve list.
The aims of the sessions are to provide players with structured coaching sessions and enhance their football skills and to also help us to identify and produce players to represent Scunthorpe United Academy.
The sessions will run during the school term time and parents are allowed to stay and watch. There will be no coaching sessions during school half term holidays.
Any players that show outstanding individual talent will be invited to train/trial with our current Academy squads.
There is no official assessment of players at any of our Development Centre’s.
All of our Academy coaches have Enhanced CRB disclosures, have a child protection/ safeguarding children certificate, are emergency aid trained and are Football Association qualified coaches.
