Graham Scott is the referee who will take charge of the Iron’s first FA Cup tie of the season, an away tie at Conference team Forest Green Rovers.
The Oxfordshire based official will be overseeing his 17th match of the season, with four of his previous matches being League One fixtures. The last time Scott was placed in charge of a Scunthorpe United match was in September 2013, during the Iron’s promotion winning season.
It was a 1-0 win for Brian Laws’ side, as an Etienne Esajas goal earned all three points over Plymouth Argyle at Glanford Park in the eighth game of the campaign which saw the Iron move up to tenth in League Two.
In the 16 games that Scott has refereed this season he has produced 45 yellow cards and a solitary red card, which was given to Luke Murphy in the televised Capital One Cup match between Bradford City and Leeds United in August.
Last season he took charge of 33 games and brandished 104 yellows and 11 red cards, including two first half sending offs in a goalless draw between Reading and Brighton at the Madjeski Stadium.
The last time he was in charge of a Forest Green match was in November 2008 when he saw Rovers pick up a FA Cup upset when they beat League Two Rochdale 2-0 in the 2nd Round.
The win earned Forest Green a third round tie at home to Derby County, which The Rams won 4-3 in a thriller.
Scott will be assisted by Dumitru-Ravel Cheosiaua and Michael Webb, with Richard Hulme the fourth official.
