PAIR WILL MISS FA CUP CLASH

7 November 2014

Loanees Luke Williams and Luke O'Neill will both be unable to play in the FA Cup this weekend, says manager Mark Robins.

With the news given on Friday lunchtime ahead of Sunday's FA Cup match, the Iron boss declared that both will be missing from the game after not receiving permission from their parent clubs to feature against Forest Green Rovers.

Williams from Middlesbrough and O'Neill from Burnley will be missing, but permission however has been granted by Peterborough United for Bobby Olejnik and Shaun Brisley.

"No. We won't necessarily have those two players available," he said.

"But what we will have is Bris and Bobby available to us, so it's swings and roundabouts at the minute.

"It doesn't leave us with a dilemma though, it is what it is. We still do our planning and preparation for the game and we know the availabilities of the players."

He added: "With that in mind, we're clear on what we're going to be doing."
