Saturday’s final match of the season sees the already-promoted Iron looking to claim the League Two title against York City at Glanford Park.
United sit in third although with victory, and if both Chesterfield and Rochdale fail to win their matches, the Iron can pinch top spot.York, meanwhile, are battling to finish as high as they can heading into the League Two play-offs.
The Minstermen beat Scunthorpe 4-1 at Bootham Crescent in October earlier this season.
However, in the 58 meetings between the two sides in total, it’s the Iron who have the better head-to-head record with 27 wins to York’s 21, while the other ten finished level.

Midfielder Sean McAllister, who has not featured since March, could make a return to the bench for the Iron.
Marcus Williams remains the only doubt, although boss Russ Wilcox believes he too could be involved.
