Iron boss Russ Wilcox says there is more to come from winger Terry Hawkridge.
The former Gainsborough man started 39 matches last season as he continued his progression from the non-leagues, where he played for Trinity, Carlton and Hucknall.Next season in League One will see his development continue as he prepares for League One football.
"To play nearly 40 games in the first team last season was an outstanding achievement," Wilcox told BBC Radio Humberside.
"He has come up through non-league and made a big jump into League Two, which is a very physical league as well.
"He has progressed really well and is still learning. There is more development in Terry to come.
"He certainly deserves his new contract because he contibuted really well to an outstanding season."
