MCALLISTER MIGHT MAKE YORK

1 May 2014

Iron manager Russ Wilcox says there is a chance that midfielder Sean McAllister will be available for selection for Saturday’s game against York.

The 26-year-old hasn’t played since March, after picking up a collarbone injury in the 0-0 draw with Wycombe Wanderers at Glanford Park.

The midfielder has been back in full training and is likely to be on the bench if available.

Wilcox told The Iron Player: “There’s a chance (he will feature on Saturday).

“He has trained fully. It’s just the contact side that is key with Sean. He has had no reaction. He is looking okay.

"I think it will be more looking towards the bench if he is available for selection.”

Marcus Williams is the only doubt going into the final game of the season, however Wilcox believes he will able to play in the game against York.

Wilcox added: “Marcus (Williams) is the only doubt. He has a little niggle in his groin that he has been carrying for the last few games, but I’m sure we can get one more push out of him.

“Everybody else is fighting fit.”
