LESS MILES IN LEAGUE ONE

27 May 2014

United fans will put in less miles following their team in Sky Bet League One next season - 1,596 less than in the last campaign in fact.

Last season, Scunthorpe travelled 7,332 miles both ways in the 23 regular away league games.

In 2014/15 though, supporters going to every away match will travel just 5,736 miles both ways.

The shortest trek of the campaign will be to Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium, which is just 26 miles, while trips to Barnsley, Sheffield United and Chesterfield are below the 50-mile mark.

Last year there were seven trips under 100 miles, this year there are going to be ten.

The longest away day of the campaign will be the 267 mile trek to Yeovil Town's Huish Park.
