Winger Terry Hawkridge is delighted to have signed a new contract with the Iron.
The 24-year-old penned a two-year deal to extend his stay with the club after an impressive first season in claret and blue."I'm delighted to sign and I'm looking forward to playing League One football," he told The Iron Player.
"I'm really pleased it's a two-year deal.
"The last season has been great and went better than anyone could have expected.
"We got promoted and it's going to be an even bigger challenge next year so I can't wait.
"It's a bigger stage for us, there are bigger crowds and I just think all around it's going to be better for us.
"We're hoping to get the ball down like we did last year and play some good football.
"I can't wait for the derbies and have been looking at the teams in League One.
"Most of the games are massive so I can't wait for the kick-off.
"It was great to be playing last year, and to score in the last game and be promoted was amazing. We couldn't ask for more.
"I just want to play as many games as I can and help the team pick up points.
"Assists and goals will help but as long I play games it will be great.
"It was an easy decision to make. Scunthorpe gave me my chance and they have given me another two years.
"It was a no-brainer to stay. It's a great place and hopefully we can do things in League One."
