PREVIEW: WYCOMBE WANDERERS (H)

28 March 2014

The Iron could return to the top of League Two with a victory over Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Should Rochdale not win at Fleetwood, a win by two goals would see Scunthorpe return to the summit of the table.

Perhaps more importantly though, should results go their way elsewhere, United could extend the gap between themselves and fourth place beyond the seven point gap that there currently is.

Scunthorpe will be looking to make it four wins in a row for the first time this season.

They enter the match on the back of a 2-0 away win at Cheltenham Town, but will face a tough task against a Chairboys side looking to avoid getting sucked into a relegation battle.

Scunthorpe United team news...

The Iron will assess Sean McAllister, who has picked up a slight knock ahead of the game.

The midfielder's injury isn't serious though and should he miss out at the weekend it will only be because he's been rested.

Elsewhere, Deon Burton (calf) is edging nearer a return but is expected to be back in contention after next week.

There are no other fresh injury worries.

Wycombe Wanderers team news...

Wycombe have signed Rotherham defender Daniel Rowe on loan until the end of the season and he will be in the squad on Saturday.

The Blues will be without Paris Cowan-Hall, Gary Doherty, Tommy Fletcher and Charles Dunne once more.
