LOAN WATCH

18 March 2014

There are a number of players currently away on loan from the Iron as they look to gain match fitness.

Matt Godden scored his fourth goal for Tamworth as they were beaten by Forest Green Rovers. Godden found the net from a penalty which he scored in the 89th minute, but it wasn’t enough as the game finished 2-1 to Forest Green.

Connor Jennings and Andrew Boyce both started in a Grimsby victory against Wrexham over the weekend. Boyce played the full 90 minutes, whilst Jennings played 86 minutes as the Mariners went on to win 3-1 and boost their chances of a play-off place in the Conference Premier.

Michael Collins was part of an AFC Wimbledon side that claimed a last minute point against League Two promotion contenders Burton Albion on Saturday. Despite going behind mid-way through the first half, Collins was part of a second half performance that levelled the game in the last minute to claim the draw.

Finally, Jamie Wootton, Curtis Bateson and Callum Howe all started for Conference North side Gainsborough Trinity over the weekend, as they claimed a 3-3 draw with Gloucester City. Howe and Bateson played the full match, whilst Wootton played just under 60 minutes for the side, as Gainsborough scored late on to get a point.
