Tuesday night’s 2-0 win at Cheltenham Town kept the Iron in second place in League Two.

Elsewhere, Burton Albion beat Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 at the Pirelli Stadium as Adam McGurk grabbed the only goal in the second half.

Chesterfield were also 1-0 winners at home to Morecambe as Jay O’Shea’s first-half header claimed three points for the Spireites.

Fleetwood Town beat Bristol Rovers 3-1 at Highbury. Goals from Antoni Sarcevic, Mark Roberts and Davil Ball gave the Cod Army all three points, despite the Gas pulling one back through Ellis Harrison.

Rochdale picked up a 3-0 win at home to Portsmouth thanks to goals from Matthew Lund, Ian Henderson and Peter Vincenti.

Mansfield Town won 4-2 at Hartlepool United with two goals from James Jennings and one for each of Matt Rhead and Jamie McGuire. Marlon Harewood and Luke James were Pools’ two scorers.

Exeter City edged out Plymouth Argyle 2-1 in the Devon derby at home park. The Pilgrims led through Reuben Reid’s penalty, but Liam Sercombe and Eliot Richards overturned the game for the Grecians after half-time.

York City were 1-0 winners at home to Torquay United as Will Hayhurst grabbed the game’s only goal.

In the Monday night kick-off, Southend United beat Oxford 3-0 at Roots Hall with goals from Will Atkinson, Lee Barnard and Jamar Loza.

And there were draws for Dagenham & Redbridge (0-0 at home to Accrington), Newport County (0-0 at home to Bury) and Northampton (2-2 at home to AFC Wimbledon) in the latest round of Sky Bet League 2 fixtures.
