NETHERLANDS LOOKING TO MAKE IT BACK TO BACK WINS

18 June 2014

World Champions Spain face Chile in the Maracana tonight in their second group B match.

They’re 8/15 favourites to win beat the South American side as they look to make amends for their opening match defeat to the Netherlands.

Chile are 11/2 outsiders despite beating Australia last time out.

The draw is 100/30.

Xabi Alonso scored the opener for Spain from the penalty spot last Friday and he is 14/1 to score first again while Alexis Sanchez is the favourite to score for Chile at 4/1.

Both sides were unable to keep clean sheets during their opening game and SkyBet have priced the match at 8/11 for both teams to score.

The first match on Wednesday sees Group B’s massive outsiders Australia (14/1) face the Netherlands (2/9) in Porto Alegre.

The draw is 11/2.

The Dutch national side are firing on all cylinders following their 5-1 thrashing of Spain last week.

Robin Van Persie 10/1 to score a hat-trick while he is 5/2 to score a brace.

Tim Cahill who scored Australia’s only goal of the World Cup so far is 11/1 to score first.

The Aussies’ football attack isn’t as strong as their bowling attack. With that in mind Holland are 5/6 to win the match by any score and to keep a clean sheet.

The final match on Wednesday sees Cameroon take on Croatia.

Neither side picked up maximum points from their opening group game, however, the Croatians impressed a lot more than their counterparts this evening.

The match takes place in Manaus – the same venue where England and Italy met last weekend.

Croatia are odds on favourites (4/6) for the match while Cameroon are 9/2 outsiders and the draw is 14/5.

A 3-0 Croatia win has been price boosted on the SkyBet website to 14/1 from 12/1 while a Cameroon victory (2-1 score line) has been boosted to 20/1 from 16/1.

Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic is 4/1 favourite to score first in the 11 o’clock kick-off and it is 35/1 to include him in a score cast along with a 3-0 victory for the European side.

Tournament Tips:
GROUP A: Cameroon v Croatia: Croatia to win to nil – 13/8
GROUP B: Spain v Chile: Draw and both teams to score – 4/1
Australia v Netherlands: Netherlands to win by three of more goals – 13/8
