Following an online consultation with supporters, United can confirm that a number of changes will be made to the stadium catering next season.
The survey responses highlighted a number of areas in which you would like to see an improvement. Having considered the feedback we will be implementing a number of changes both to the food, service and catering points themselves.
One of the items we received a lot of feedback on was the use of Lincolnshire sausages in the hot dogs.
So from next season we’ll introduce a Lincolnshire foot-long hot dog to all stadium catering points.
Served in a foot-long baguette, the 12 inch Lincolnshire sausage will also come with caramelised onions and a choice of sauces.
The hot dog will be priced at £3.50.
Having trialled the product we’re sure it will be a winner with supporters both home and away.
Also making a return to the stadium catering points for next season will be the bacon butty.
The butty, which will retail at £2, is a firm favourite amongst football fans across the country and due to the demand of it we have decided to bring that back.
The traditional burgers that are served at a ground on a matchday have also been replaced with ones containing higher quality produce.
As of next season United will be selling burgers which contain 96% steak meat.
Supporters will be able to choose between having a plain burger and a cheese burger – and as of next season we will be using real cheese rather than slices.
The price of the burger for next season shall remain at £3 per burger while the cheese burger shall remain at £3.20.
While the prices are remaining stable for next season we are providing a better burger for all of our customers.
Finally the pies, which are supplied by Pukka, will be remaining on sale on a matchday.
As of next season we will be selling the Chicken Balti, Meat and Potato, All Steak and Chicken and Mushroom.
These will continue to retail at £2.80.
While some fans like to enjoy their pies alone, others like to have theirs with a side portion of peas.
This means we will be reviving the traditional matchday meal of pie and peas for a small of charge of £3.20.
In addition to the prices that have remained stable there have also been a number of prices reductions made.
The jumbo sausage roll has now been reduced to £2 from £2.50.
All hot drinks have seen a reduction in price for next season. Cups of tea will be charged at £1.20 and coffee will cost £1.50.
This sees both items have a price reduction having both been priced at £1.70 last season.
At the moment there is still some deliberation taking place regarding the soft drinks that will be on offer next season. However, we shall provide a further update once these have been finalised.
We’ll be training our catering staff to the highest standards so that both the quality of the food and level of service are excellent.
