The Iron hosted their 2014 Golf Day on Wednesday.

It was a successful day all-around, with players, directors and club staff playing alongside supporters and sponsors.

Held at Forest Pines, it was Sam Winnall's team who came out on top with a score of 82. Alongside Sam featured Andy Langford, Kev Stanham and Simon Wright.

Coming second were Deon Burton's team, who had a score of 75. Alongside him featured Ian Catril, Martin Moody and Neil Hunton.

Sam Slocombe and his team came third, with Derrick Hunt, Mick Grey and Cliff Chappel featuring alongside the shotstopper. They amassed a score of 73.

Joe Coleman came nearest the pin at the sixth hole, while Kev Stanham made the longest drive of the day at the ninth hole.

Iron commercial manager Michelle Harness said: "We will be holding this every year now and I would like to thank everyone who played."
