Iron boss Russ Wilcox praised his side's application as they won 3-1 in their first friendly of pre-season.
The victory came at Bottesford Town on Wednesday night, with Sam Winnall and Paddy Madden (twice) finding the target.24 players received a run-out with just David Mirfin and Terry Hawkridge missing out through a slight knee injury and a knock respectively.
"It's not about the results, it's about getting game time for each player," Wilcox told The Iron Player.
"Most of the players have played 45 minutes and I was delighted with the tempo we played at, and the intensity.
"Great credit to Bottesford. We always enjoy coming here, they look after us well and I thought they put on a good display.
"Saying that, on another day we probably could have scored 10 or 11 goals. Leigh Herrick had a great game for them in goal.
"We didn't quite have our finishing boots on but it was a good work-out.
"There were no injuries - that was the main thing."
He added: "I've got a good squad and there are lots of permutations I can use. I did that tonight and mixed the teams up.
"Overall, I was impressed with the run-out."
