Iron manager Russ Wilcox expects a tough, competitive friendly when Huddersfield Town come to Glanford Park on Saturday.

United host the Terriers at Glanford Park for their fifth warm-up game of this pre-season.

"It will be a tough game, but that's what you need," he told The Iron Player.

"They're a Championship outfit and they will provide us with a tough test.

"The Lincoln game was competitive and we always have competitive matches against them.

"We didn't get the result we wanted but what we got from that and will get from the Huddersfield is a good, competitive game.

"I don't like seeing friendlies in a tip-tap manner, and Huddersfield certainly won't be.

"We'll assess everybody on Friday and see how they are."
