PREVIEW: BRISTOL ROVERS (H)

25 February 2014

The Iron return to League Two action when they host Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick-off).

United come into the game bidding to make it 17 games unbeaten and looking to take the points which could see them climb back to the top of League Two.

Standing in front of them though is a Pirates side who have taken seven points from the last three games, including a 2-0 home victory over Burton Albion last Friday.

The two sides met at the Memorial Stadium earlier in the season, with a 0-0 draw being played out. Scunthorpe hit the woodwork twice and had an effort cleared off the line in that game though.

Buoyed by a 5-1 home success over Portsmouth at the weekend, confidence is high at Glanford Park.

Team news: Scunthorpe United...

The Iron have no fresh injury worries as they enter the game, with Hakeeb Adelakun fine after limping off with a dead leg late on against Pompey.

Deon Burton remains out until April with a calf injury, while Luke Hornsey is nearing a return to training after a recent setback.

Team news: Bristol Rovers...

The Pirates look set to be without striker Matt Harrold once more when they travel to Glanford Park.

The former Wycombe forward has been suffering with a knee injury which has ruled him out of their last two matches and he looks unlikely to return against the high-flying Iron, meaning Chris Beardsley will keep his place in the Rovers line-up.

Ollie Clarke made his return to action last weekend as a late substitute having recovered from an ankle problem and he will be involved again at Glanford Park.
