TEAM IS STARTING TO GEL

27 December 2014

United continue their busy Christmas schedule with a visit to Bramall Lane on Sunday, against another side that currently occupy a playoff spot.

The Blades are midway down the current form table while the Iron sit 3rd on form after a run of nine games unbeaten under Mark Robins.

Ex-Blade Marcus Williams spoke to The Iron Player ahead of the game, insisting it is no different for him than any other fixture, and that it’s certainly winnable.

“It’s just another game to be honest and it’s a game that we can go and win. I said this prior to the Barnsley game. We hadn’t won there in a long time," he stated.

“They’ve obviously got some good players but so have we.

“What we’ve got at the moment is a dressing room that’s starting to gel and results are starting to pay off now.”

On his season, Williams says he’s having a good time of it under the new boss having cemented his spot at left-back.

He stated: “It’s going well. I’m just trying to keep my head down and get playing as much as I can do. I’m enjoying my football at the minute and my performances have been going well.

“I want to keep it going and keep that consistency going.”
