PREVIEW: WORCESTER CITY (H)

5 December 2014

United host Vanarama Conference North side Worcester City on Sunday, hoping to secure their place in the FA Cup third round draw.

Worcester will arrive at Glanford Park full of confidence and hoping to pull off another shock after beating Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena in the last round.

They also arrive on the back of two 3-0 wins. The first was against Barrow in the FA Trophy last week. Former Walsall midfielder Sean Geddes made the headlines and went viral on social media after scoring an incredible effort.

City then repeated the scoreline with a league win at Hyde on Monday night.

Mark Robins’ United are in the second round after beating Vanarama Conference Premier side Forest Green in Gloucestershire.

Gary McSheffrey scored twice with efforts which took quite heavy deflections in a match where the Iron showed their superiority.

Eddie Nolan will be missing from the tie after he was ruled out for six weeks with an ankle problem.

Mark Robins was set to confirm in his Friday lunchtime press conference which on-loan players were available to play a part in the game.

Paddy Madden will be looking to build on his goal tally this season, after scoring his eighth and ninth goal in his 23rd appearance of the season in the win at Barnsley last week.

It will be our first meeting with Worcester, who are currently eighth in the league and unbeaten in their last 13 matches.
