Elsewhere in League One, Bradford earned a victory to go second-placed with a 3-1 win at Crawley.

James Hanson put the visitors into the lead before Joe Walsh’s header put Crawley level. Billy Knott and Derby loanee Mason Bennett notched a goal each to give Phil Parkinson’s men a good win at John Gregory’s Crawley to put them on seven points.

Sheffield United were 2-1 winners at London Road as Peterborough dropped points for the first time. Shaun Brisley cancelled out Jose Baxter’s opener and Ben Davies’ late goal gave Nigel Clough his first win of the season.

Bristol City and Leyton Orient drew 0-0 at the Ashton Gate while Benik Afobe gave MK Dons a 1-0 victory over Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium.

Coventry and Barnsley shared the points with a 2-2 draw with goals for City from Josh McQuoid and Jordan Clarke, while Leroy Lita and Conor Hourihane netted for the Reds.

Rochdale were victorious in a seven-goal thriller at the Alexandra Stadium. A Matt Done hat-trick and goals from Ian Henderson and Peter Vincenti helped Keith Hill’s men to a 5-2 win.

Down the road, Doncaster held Simon Grayson’s Preston to a 1-1 draw after Nathan Tyson netted in the 90th minute to grab Paul Dickov’s men a point, while Gillingham and Swindon drew 2-2 after loan keeper Stephen Bywater scored a late own goal to save Swindon’s blushes. 

Ronan Murray and Liam Noble scored for Notts County as they beat Colchester 2-1 and Tom Pope continued his good scoring for Port Vale to help them to a 1-1 draw with Oldham.

Saturday’s opponents Yeovil beat Walsall 2-1 with goals from James Hayter and Kevin Dawson.
