GETTING TO YEOVIL

22 August 2014

Scunthorpe’s away support will be travelling over 250 miles to Huish Park on Saturday for this weekend’s League One clash against Yeovil Town.

Huish Park…
Yeovil have plied their trade here since it was first built in 1990. Huish Park has a capacity of just under 10,000 and two of the stands are all-seated. Away fans are situated in the Copse Road open terrace at the end of the ground, an uncovered area of the stadium.

Getting There…
Head towards Doncaster and the M180. Take the exit towards the M1 before exiting onto the A42 at Junction 23A. Merge onto the A42 and continue onto the M42 before following signs for M42/London. Go onto the M5 and at junction 25 take the A358 exit to Taunton/Yeovil (first exit at the roundabout).

You will then come across another roundabout in which you will take the first exit onto the A303 before taking the third exit at the subsequent roundabout. These are two of many roundabouts on the latter stage of the journey. At the next one you will want to take the first exit onto Bunford Lane before heading to Lufton Way (first exit at the next roundabout). Turn right off Lufton Way and you will find Huish Park.

For Your Information…
There is a selection of pubs surrounding the ground within 10-15 minute’s walking distance. Huish Park also has a reasonably sized car park which costs £2, however, as expected it takes a while to leave once the game is finished. There are two train stations in Yeovil, both of which are around 5miles away from the ground so a taxi is usually the favourable option of travel to and from the station.

Parking…
The car parking at the ground costs £2 but for those who want to get away quickly, it can get very busy and there is only one road out. There is also an overspill car park for busy match days.
