WILCOX NOMINATED FOR MARCH AWARD

1 April 2014

Iron manager Russ Wilcox has been nominated as the Sky Bet League Two manager of the month for March.

The United boss saw his side record three wins and four draws as they kept their promotion push going.

Here is what Sky Bet had to say about all the candidates:

Russ Wilcox (Scunthorpe United)

Wilcox claimed a place in the record books for making the longest unbeaten league match start to a managerial career - 24 games - in The Football League's history. Three wins and four draws kept Scunthorpe United on course for automatic promotion.

Wayne Burnett (Dagenham and Redbridge)
Burnett guided the Daggers through the month unbeaten in eight matches, shrugging off injuries to key players by delving shrewdly into the loan market for replacements. His team's 14 points included wins at Newport County and Bristol Rovers.

Keith Hill (Rochdale)
Hill led Rochdale to the top of Sky Bet League 2 in thrilling fashion with three three-goal victories and hard-earned goalless draws at Bury and Fleetwood Town. Dale easily overcame the loss of leading scorer Scott Hogan to gain 17 points.

Nigel Worthington (York City)
Worthington's patient approach paid off in spectacular style as 19 points from 21 lifted York City into the Play-Off picture. Worthington has made York hard to break down - in seven games they conceded just a solitary goal.

The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News.
