REMAINING FOCUSED

10 April 2014

41 league games on the board, joint top of the league and facing the homeward stretch, you could say we could coast it.

However to think it is all over at this stage would be a fatal mistake, as stranger things have happened in football.

We must remain fully focussed, strong, both physically and mentally and we can then finish what we started.

We have faced some difficult challenges through the season, both on and off the pitch, which we have dealt with and got through.

The club has won it’s mini battles, now comes the real test, 3 games at home, 2 games away, what an opportunity.

I wanted great football played, but to be honest, I do not care how we do it now! 2 wins will be enough, lets get it done.

I have been delighted and very proud in the way the players and Russ have approached the responsibility of getting us out of this league and Russ has been rewarded for that with his name now in the record books.

The players have a massive opportunity, to not only gain a promotion with the club, but do it in style and win this league.

What a fantastic incentive for them and of course you the fans, in roaring them home!

We respect our opposition, but we fear none of them, the table does not lie, the team and management deserve a huge amount of credit for our position in the league.

I want Russ, the coaches, the players, the stadium staff, all the people behind the scenes, everybody involved with this club to help push us over the line.

Up the Iron

Peter Swann
Chairman
