LOAN WATCH

2 April 2014

There are a number of Scunthorpe players currently out on loan as they look to gain fitness and first team experience.

Curtis Bateson started and played the full 90 minutes as Gainsborough Trinity drew 1-1 with Harrogate Town in the Conference North.

Jamie Wootton came on as a last minute substitute too as the side claimed a point against the play-off hopefuls.

Andrew Boyce and Connor Jennings both started for Grimsby as they beat Hereford United 1-0.

Boyce claimed the clean sheet and played the full 90 minutes, while Jennings was substituted on 64 minutes, just after Rodman put Grimsby ahead.

The result puts Grimsby just outside the play-off places with games in hand.

Michael Collins started and played the full 90 minutes as AFC Wimbledon lost 1-0 to Mansfield Town in League Two. It was an Adam Murray goal that sealed the three points for the Stags and pushed them into the top half of the table.

Finally, Luke Hornsey made his home debut and played 70 minutes for Frickley Athletic as they lost 2-0 to AFC Fylde. This result left Frickley four points adrift of safety.
