Saturday’s 1-0 win at Torquay United moved the Iron level on points with Rochdale at the top of the League Two table.

However, Dale remain ahead of Scunthorpe on goal difference despite their 0-0 draw at home to York City.

Elsewhere, a first-half goal from Callum McFadzean was enough to see Burton Albion beat Plymouth Argyle 1-0 at the Pirelli Stadium.

Fleetwood Town grabbed a 2-0 victory against Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium with goals from David Ball and Antoni Sarcevic.

Northampton Town were 1-0 winners at Accrington Stanley thanks to Chris Hackett’s fourth-minute strike.

First-half goals from Steven Craig and Max Kretzschmar gave Wycombe Wanderers a 2-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge at Adams Park. The Daggers had Scott Doe sent off early on.

Bury beat Exeter City 2-0 at the JD Stadium with goals from Chris Hussey and Tom Soares. The Grecians also had Daniel Coles sent off in between the two efforts.

Southend United picked up a 2-1 victory at Cheltenham Town. Byron Harrison had volleyed the Robins in front but the visitors turned it around in the second half with goals from Barry Corr and Kevan Hurst.

Morecambe lost 1-0 to Mansfield Town at the Globe Arena. Colin Daniel’s first-half free-kick secured three points for the Stags, while the Shrimps later had Andy Fleming sent off.

Portsmouth picked up a 1-0 win over Hartlepool United at Fratton Park as Adam Webster scored the game’s only goal inside two minutes.

And there were draws for Chesterfield (1-1 at home to Newport County) and AFC Wimbledon (0-0 at home to Bristol Rovers) in the latest round of Sky Bet League 2 fixtures.
