Andy Haines has been appointed as referee for this weekend’s clash with Bury.
Haines is yet to officiate the Iron this season, with the last time he took charge of a game being the 0-0 draw against Shrewsbury at Glanford Park last season.Based in the Tyne & Wear area, Haines has refereed at Football League level for a number of years now, starting in 2007. He has refereed across all three levels this season and the last two games he has refereed have been in the Championship, Nottingham Forest’s 1-0 defeat against Charlton and Middlesbrough’s 1-0 victory over Derby.
So far this season, he has given out 86 yellow cards and 10 red, while gave out 87 yellow and four red last time around.
He will be assisted by Thomas Rogers and Neil Sharp, whilst Mark Jones will act as Fourth Official.
