This weekend sees one of, if not, the biggest golf tournament of the calendar as The Masters take place in Augusta.

All the best golfers in the world, barring Tiger Woods who will miss the event for the first time during his career, will be present at the Augusta National Club.

The official betting partner of the Football League, Sky Bet, are already offering a wealth of offers for the tournament which gets underway on Thursday.

Last year’s winner Adam Scott is the joint favourite to lift the title along with Northern Ireland golfer Rory McIlroy.

The Masters is the equivalent of the Grand National and it gives anyone a chance of winning it.

Sky Bet have price boosted a number of specials already.

You can get odds of 5/2 for the winner of The Masters to be European – that will be an achievement in itself as the last European winner came in 1999 when Jose Maria Olazabal was presented with the green jacket.

Sky Bet are also offering 12/1 for the winner of the tournament to come from England.

It has been 18 years since Nick Faldo, the only English golfer to win The Masters, last lifted the trophy back in 1996.

If you wager on the Masters this weekend through you’ll be helping the Iron make money each time a new user signs up and bets.

Every time a new punter signs up to Sky Bet they will get a matched free bet of up to £30 for their first stake.

Sky Bet will also give each punter a £5 free bet via the ‘Free Bet Club’ should they place a weekly accumulator with odds of 5/1 or more – the minimum stake is £5.

The final welcome bonus that Sky Bet are offering is a completely free £5 to spend on their online casino Sky Vegas.

Sky Bet, the home of the price boost, also gives punters the opportunity to get exclusive bonuses that other bookmakers just don’t offer.
