Lincoln City Reserves 4-2 Scunthorpe United Reserves
Report from Sincil BankThe Iron's reserve side were beaten 4-2 at Lincoln City on Wednesday night.
Peter Winn and Aron Wint scored second half goals for United, while
Kenny Milne received a 55-minute run-out at Sincil Bank.
The Imps were three goals up early in the second half thanks to an opening half brace from Jamie Clarke and a goal from Chris Fagan, but Scunthorpe fought their way back into the game.
Winn, who performed well, scored his team's first goal - notching with a rocket of a strike from the left-hand side of the area which flew into the side of the net.
Then first year trainee Aron Wint added a second with a strike from inside the area following Winn's pass.
Substitute defender
Richard Dean could have levelled the scores but hit the post from close range before the Imps added a fourth in style through Sam Clucas.
"Generally we passed the ball well," said reserve team coach
Tony Daws. "The lads did well on a lovely pitch and looked comfortable moving the ball around.
"We had plenty of possession and performed well, particularly in the second half, against a team which featured a few experienced players."
Daws reported that there were no fresh injuries picked up from the game.
The reserves are next in action at Rotherham United's Don Valley Stadium next Wednesday (7.00pm kick-off).
