Talented young striker Matt Godden is a third year professional, who signed pro terms at the end of the 2008-09 season.
The forward endured an injury-hit final campaign as a trainee, but his prowess in front of goal went a long way in securing him a deal with the Iron.
Highly-rated by all at the club, he penned a new 26-month deal in March 2011.
Godden joined Brigg on loan for three months at the start of his first year as a professional and managed to notch nine goals in 20 starts for the Zebras.
A loan stay at Ilkeston Town followed before he ended the campaign prolifically for the reserve team.
