EDDIE SET FOR EARLY RETURN

Posted on: Tue 07 Sep 2010
Defender Eddie Nolan will return to Scunthorpe United duty at the start of this week in preparation for next Saturday's home game with Bristol City.

The full-back, on loan until January from Preston North End, has been away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland U21's.

He captained his country during their 1-0 defeat in Switzerland on Friday but received his second booking of their European Championship Qualifying campaign and misses Tuesday night's match with Turkey so will return to North Lincolnshire earlier than expected.

Goalkeeper Joe Murphy remains on international duty with the Ireland senior side, who face Andorra in Dublin on Tuesday, and is set to return for Iron training on Thursday.
