The rest of the Iron squad may be out of npower Championship action this weekend because of an international break, but Joe Murphy and Eddie Nolan will be hoping to play parts for their country.

Murphy is currently away with the Republic of Ireland as they prepare for two games in four days - the first of which comes in Armenia on Friday night before their next encounter against Andorra in Dublin on Tuesday.

Nolan, meanwhile, is with the Republic of Ireland U21's, who face visits to Switzerland and Turkey respectively on the same nights.

Both players will return to Scunthorpe United duty ahead of the home clash with Bristol City on Saturday, September 11.
