FORTE NAMED IN LEAGUE SIDE

Striker Jonathan Forte has been named in the Football League's Championship team of the week following his two-goal burst at the weekend.

The 23-year-old hit the back of the net twice as Scunthorpe defeated Crystal Palace 3-0 at Glanford Park.

It is the first time the Barbados international has been chosen for the team, and he joins Rob Jones, Garry Thompson and Eddie Nolan in being selected this season.

The full team is as follows: Kasper Schmeichel (Leeds United), Jean Calve (Sheffield United), Matthew Mills (Reading), Richard Naylor (Leeds United), Jay McEveley (Barnsley), Scott Sinclair (Swansea City), Andrew Crofts (Norwich City), James Bailey (Derby County), Martin Woods (Doncaster Rovers), Jonathan Forte (Scunthorpe United), Jason Scotland (Ipswich Town).
