MIRFIN RETURNS FOR NORWICH

Posted on: Thu 12 Aug 2010

David Mirfin will be available for Saturday's home game with Norwich City after overcoming a minor shoulder injury.

The centre-back sat out Tuesday night's Carling Cup win over Oldham Athletic after he was stretchered off in last weekend's 2-1 win at Reading.

However, he trained on Thursday and will be available to play at Glanford Park against the Canaries.

Josh Wright could also be available. The midfielder came off in midweek with a hamstring injury but manager Nigel Adkins said: "We've caught that in time by bringing him off early.

"He's been in with the physio Alex Dalton on Thursday, along with Michael O'Connor, who has had an infected toe, but we hope both players will be available."

He added that Rob Jones has shaken off an strain picked up in midweek, but Sam Togwell misses out because of a one-match suspension.
