IRON TO FACE OWLS IN CUP

The Iron will host Sheffield Wednesday in the second round of the Carling Cup.

The match will take place on the week starting Monday, August 23 with full date and ticket details to follow on Scunthorpe-United.co.uk in due course.

United made the second round after defeating Oldham Athletic 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Scunthorpe have already played Alan Irvine's side in pre-season, winning 1-0 at Glanford Park in July.
