The Iron named a strong side ahead of their home pre-season friendly with Huddersfield Town at Glanford Park on Saturday.

With just a week until the big Championship kick-off against Reading at the Madejski Stadium, boss Nigel Adkins was using the game with the Terriers as a chance for his side to fine tune their fitness.

Joe Murphy started in goal, with Michael Raynes, David Mirfin, Rob Jones and Jim McNulty forming the defence.

The midfield consisted of Garry Thompson, Josh Wright, captain Sam Togwell and Michael O'Connor (back from a thigh injury), while Chris Dagnall partnered Jonathan Forte in attack.
