Iron goalkeeper Josh Lillis, currently out on loan for six months with League One side Rochdale, played a key part in their 1-1 home draw with Premier League outfit Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Although the 22-year-old shotstopper conceded from the penalty spot to Robbie Blake, Martin Petrov brought the best out of the former United YT when his deflected shot seemed destined for the back of the net until Lillis got a great hand to it and palmed it over the bar.

Chris O'Grady later levelled as the hosts claimed a draw against Owen Coyle's side.

Dale chief Keith Hill stated afterwards: "Josh Lillis made an incredible save as well, that was a match winning save."

He also played in the midweek victory at Fleetwood Town, keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 success.

Meanwhile Ian Morris, the other Scunthorpe man out on loan, played 90 minutes at left-back for Chesterfield in their 5-4 defeat to Derby County at the b2net Stadium - a game which saw former Scunthorpe trialist Shane Redmond also feature for the home side.

Morris also played 45 minutes for the Spireites in their 1-1 draw at Alfreton Town in midweek.

The former Leeds man is with the League Two side for the season.
