Iron defender Niall Canavan has been named in the Football League's Championship team of the week.

The centre-back was chosen after scoring his first league goal for the club in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The first year professional netted from close range at the start of the second period to get his side back in the game.

Garry Thompson then hit a sensational volley in the closing stages to seal a point.
