Defender Kenny Milne felt with a bit more luck his side could have won Saturday's entertaining derby at Doncaster Rovers. The 30-year-old Scot concedes though that his side can't continue to ship the manner of goals they have done this season - epitomised by those let in during the 4-3 defeat at the Keepmoat Stadium.
They have conceded 82 goals this season and Milne says it must improve next year in the Championship.
"That's been the story of our season," Milne told
The Iron Player.
"We gave away some silly goals but I thought we'd done enough to win the game on Saturday.
"Overall, it was a good game for the neutrals to watch.
"The game could have gone either way though, at the end
Jonathan Forte had a cracking shot which cannoned back into play off the crossbar, and
Gary Hooper fizzed one just past the post.
"It was just down to luck on the day and any team could have won it.
"The major lesson we need to learn for next season is to not give away cheap goals.
"It doesn't seem to be too hard for teams to score against us.
"I think the main reason is a lack of concentration, and that has cost us at crucial points in games.
"Hopefully next year people will get a bit wiser and we will see what happens."
